You're a Wizard! (digital pattern)

$7.00

Wouldn’t it be awesome if this was your everyday uniform? I can’t think of anything better- unless of course I had a magical wizard robe, a magic wand and perhaps some incredibly awesome self-knitting knitting needles! This is a super fun top- knit it long to be a tunic-style dress, or knit it shorter to make it your favorite sweater. The best part? The self-striping sock yarn will work it’s magic to create these striped sleeves without any effort on your part!

Finished Chest Circumference: 32.75 (34, 36, 38, 40, 40.75, 43.25, 46.75, 48, 50, 52)”/ 83 (86.5, 91.5, 96.5, 101.5, 103.5, 110, 118.5, 122, 127, 132) cm, choose size closest to bust, meant to be worn with no ease.

Yarn: Biscotte Yarns, Bis-Sock, 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon, 435 yds/398 m, 100 g/3.53 oz, 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6) skeins Bouclier (MC) and 2 (2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins self-striping, in Sorcerer’s Uniform (CC).

Gauge: 24 sts/36 rows = 4”/ 10.0 cm in St st.

Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 24” circular, US 5 dpns, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: apestry needle, measuring tape, scissors, at least 4 stitch markers (make sure you have 2 that are a different color from the rest), waste yarn.

Pattern Notes

Begin at shoulder tops, using a provisional cast on. You will work your way down the back, to just at the underarms, adding armhole shaping along the way. Then the fronts are worked, each side by itself, complete with neck and armhole shaping. After the fronts are completed to the armholes, the fronts and back are joined and the piece is worked in the round to the hem. The self-striping yarn (CC) is used on the sleeves, hood and ribbed edgings only.
