Frozen 2 happens to be one of the movies that seems to be playing on repeat in my house that doesn’t actually make me want to scream. There is just something magical, powerful and inspiring about watching Elsa step into all the she is and to embrace her truth. It also always seems to make me forget how much I don’t look forward to winter and the cold…..so there’s that!

When McMullin Fiber Co released this colorway, Ahtohollan, inspired by Frozen 2, I knew I had to get a couple of skeins for myself, as a tangible reminder of the power in this movie. As I played with different design ideas, I kept coming back to that diamond shape, how all the parts come together to create something beautiful, magical and so very necessary. This top magically fell off my needles and it is even better than anything I could imagine it to be!

I hope that you are able to take some time for yourself and enjoy your needles as you work up a top of your very own. This top knits up very easily, worked from the top down, the lace is worked over the back only, and is set-up so that you are working it between markers and never have to worry about adding it into increases. I love that this piece can easily be worn over your favorite summer dress just as easily as paired with your favorite jeans. It will even work as a nice layer for when the weather changes as well.

Finished Bust:32 (35, 38, 41, 44, 48) [52, 56, 60, 64, 68] ”/ 81.5 (89, 96.5, 104, 112, 122) [132, 142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5) cm.
